Its a strange feeling.

I'm sat outside the airport in Sao Paulo having just arrived. Its 05:30am, the grey concrete bench is cold and the day is just getting started here in Brazil. Behind me is a rank of taxis waiting patiently for the next batch of human parcels to come rushing out of the automatic doors.

All alone arriving this time as the rest of the guys fly in around lunch time. Its a strange feeling being in a country on your own and not really knowing much portuguese. But....I like the feeling. Its wierd, its like the urge for adventure and exploration is only ever just under the surface, but kept there by the comfort of fellow travellers.

I feel comfortable but foreign, at home but so far from it, peaceful that its safe. So often I find myself stressing about making the connection or missing the taxi ride. But now I know that whatever happens, its OK. No worries, no stress. Just peace from God, my fellow traveller.

I'm waiting for the bus to take me to my hotel for the day. Tomorrow we drive to Limeira. Don't know what time it arrives, but I have all day to wait!!!!!

  1. Isn't it strange how quiet moments can hit you even in the hustle and bustle of an international airport. We thinking of you
