Pre Liberia thoughts

I am sat on the plane in Heathrow waiting to depart, there is a short delay. I have had time this morning hanging out in the airport to think a lIttle about what I am expecting when I get to Monrovia. I know there are over 1,000,000 people in the city and if it is anything like Freetown it will be busy with street traders and traffic. Crazy driving and plenty of beeping horns.

I am expecting the people to be really friendly and fun. They speak English there so we won't have any interpreters for a change. I am excited to get some really interesting portraits in this trip. I do really like going to Africa.

The past few weeks leading up to this trip have been weird. For the first time I was not excited to go away. I was not dreading it or wanting to stay home, on the contrary, I have been anticipating this visit to Liberia for some time. I could not work out why I felt the way I did. As soon as I got through security in Manchester I got into work mode and felt much better about it.

Anyway, the doors are about to close so I better go. Please Pray for me and the team while we are in Africa.

James.
